About PEDS/DENT-001

The first project that we undertook was funding of a clinical trial submitted by a pediatric dentist from Peshawar, Dr. Sarah Ovais Khan. The project is titled, “Effects of Rapid Palatal Expansion, RPE, in Children Younger than 12 years Age.” This project is funded for year 2023 with a budget of 5 lac rupees through private donations. The project aims to treat 12 enrolled children with palatal narrowing. These children will be treated with the RPE device which is locally developed and manufactured. The device is given free of cost to eligible children and their growth parameters and academic results are tabulated in Dr. Sarah’s clinic in University town, Peshawar. Data will be available by the end of 2023.
